In this tour firstly you will learn about the history, traditions and the times of the medieval Jewish community of Córdoba. On this tour, you will be guided to the most significant parts of the old Jewish quarter and the visit the Synagogue. Enter the Synagogue and spend time appreciating its architecture. Here, you will be able to discover the place where Maimonides was born and follow the marks of Sepharad.
Then you will discover the Great Mosque of Cordova which was al-Andalus’ most emblematic monument. Its genesis and development were a clear image of the evolution of the Umayyad state during its existence in the Iberian Peninsula. This building was converted into a Christian cathedral in the 13th century until the present.
Walk around the forest of ancient columns made of marble, granite, jaspe… and of course! You have time to take awesome pictures.
A local tour guide will explain you the different parts of the building that combines both the Umayyad style Spain as Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles of the Christian tradition because of its long history and evolution over time.
